HEALTHY FOODS FOR BEAUTIFUL HAIR

   Every woman desires thick, lustrous and beautiful hair, and although men do not express it, they too are very sensitive about it. The only difference is, women discuss about their haircare and men do not manifest the care they take for hair.
   Some spend lots of money on different hair care products in order to get glorious, luscious hair, not realizing that beautiful and healthy hair is a result of a healthy body and a healthy diet. Like our entire body, our hair too needs nourishment, which can be provided by our daily nutrient intake, Any nutritional deficiencies can lead to problems like dryness, brittleness, dandruff and ultimately hair loss.
   Here are some foods that make your hair healthy and strong.

1. Fruits
   Guava, oranges, pineapples, tomatoes and kiwis, are fruits which are high in Vitamin C.  Guava contains 377 mg of vitamin C which keeps the hair from breaking and has anti-aging effects. Collagen which makes hair strong is created with the help of vitamin C.

2. Oysters
   Oysters are great source of dietary zinc. Lack of zinc may result in hair loss and eyelashes too, as this element helps the hair growth cells to perform better. Zinc is also required for beautiful skin, eyes and nails.

3. Water
   Water makes up one-fourth of the weight of a strand of hair. Water is a medium that helps to eliminate all toxins, chemical wastes and other pollutants from the body.  Moisture makes the hair supple, so water keeps our hair silky and shiny and also hydrates our bodies. so make sure you get plenty of fluids, between eight and ten glasses of water a day is ideal.

5. Sweet Potato
  To moisturise our hair and sooth them, we need Vitamin A. Beta Carotene, which are present in sweet potato.

6. Oats
  Oats have high amounts of zinc, biotin, magnesium and potassium, which are important nutrients for beautiful hair. A deficiency in these key nutrients can lead to more brittle hair and more breakage.

7. Nuts
   Nuts have omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, protein, vitamin E, selenium, and zinc. Vitamin E shields our hair from the harmful rays of the sun, Selenium and zinc keep the scalp nourished from dandruff. Protein helps in hair growth and protein content of the nuts helps boost hair follicles, making hair fuller and stronger. So a handful of nuts can do wonders to our hair health.

8. Eggs
  Hair growth is depended on a B vitamin known as biotin and eggs are the best source of biotin, iron, vitamin D and protein. Eggs also contains sulfur,  which is necessary for the production of collagen and keratin, which help
create and maintain shiny hair, strong nails and glowing skin while Biotin is water soluble and required healthy scalp and also stronger nails. Eggs are serious healthy-hair helpers.

9. Pumpkin Seeds
   Pumpkin Seeds is packed with zinc, vitamins A and K and omega-3 fatty acids, all of which are essential to building a healthy hair shaft.

10. Fatty Fish
   Fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. About three percent of the
hair shaft is made up of omega-3 fatty acids. Fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines and anchovies are rich in omega - 3 fatty acids which keep your scalp and hair hydrated and your strands healthy.

11. Coconut
   Coconut water is a great natural hydration aid and contains potassium, an electrolyte that helps move nutrients into our cells. Coconut oil, which is high in healthy fats, vitamins E and K and minerals, is one of the best natural nutrients for your hair, boosting growth and shine by moisturizing the scalp. It also reduce protein loss when used as a pre-wash conditioning treatment. Protein loss can leave strands weak and prone to damage.

12. Poultry
   Lack of protein is responsible hair fall, and there is reason for worries when hair fails and regrowth stop. Poultry contains rich amounts of protein needed to diminish protein deficiency and stop hair fall, and they are a healthier option because they contain lower amount of saturated fat than other meat.

13. Cinnamon
   Cinnamon helps in blood circulation. When the blood flows well, all the
nutrients are sure to reach the scalp and hair roots. Sprinkling a little cinnamon adds to the flavour and works towards growing beautiful hair as well.

14. Brown Rice
   Brown rice is rich source of biotin, this is an essential element we should
include in our healthy hair diet chart.

15. Veggies
    Coloured vegetables like carrots, spinach, pumpkins, bell peppers, broccoli and green leafy veggies are all required for gorgeous, long and thick hair. Carrot and pumpkin are rich in vitamin A which assists hair glands in
producing the moisture to keep hair conditioned. Spinach has vitamin C, beta carotene and iron which work together to keep our hair and scalp
healthy. Cabbages contain anthocyanins which protect the hair from harmful effects of pollution, sun and chemicals. Kale leaves hair fibre cells strong,while green leafy vegetables are a rich source of iron.
